Graham Harrison is Group Director of IT, Information Management and Projects for The Lincoln College Group and responsible for the delivery of IT, information systems, business applications and all aspects of technology and data in the UK and in Saudi Arabia.
Graham completed his MBA in 2019 and developed his final project on the management of data science to create a start-up company called The Knowledge Ladder, which is part of The Lincoln College group of commercial subsidiaries.
The Knowledge Ladder are using predictive analytics to identify students who are in danger of withdrawing from their course in advance them actually leaving so that they can be targeted with additional support. TKL strive to democratize data science which can sometimes be seen as difficult, complex and expensive by developing machine learning capabilities for small-to-medium Lincolnshire and regional organisations so they can start using data to drive impact and outcomes.
In his talk, Graham will demystify some of the terminology around data science, explore its potential and walk through the Python code of a real-world project to explore how data science is developed and used. This is a great opportunity to learn more about this exciting local data science start-up and some of the real world impact machine learning systems can deliver.
It's going to be an informal event, with food & refreshments provided and there will be plenty of time for friendly conversation with like minded people with an interest in all things digital. This event will take place at Lincoln's Digital Hub, Mosaic so we hope you can join us. Car parking is available on Free School Lane or 2 minutes walk away at Broadgate multi-story car park. Hope you can make it!
Please join us online on Tuesday 25th January at 7 pm for what is sure to be an interesting and informative talk. We'll post the link for the talk on the day of the event. Please RSVP to make sure you get notified and hope you can join us.
