Kelly Evans is Chief Executive at Social Change UK – an award winning change agency dedicated to taking on society’s biggest issues such as obesity, climate change, knife crime and child sexual exploitation.
Kelly works with UK government, businesses and brands to design solutions and deliver campaigns and programmes that focus on positively changing people’s attitudes, beliefs and behaviours. Not without some controversy, the research and marketing work that falls out of Social Change over the last decade has influenced policy and changes in the law, and her campaigns have helped to save society millions of pounds.
Social Change UK is the only B Corp in Lincoln. B Corps balance profit with societal benefit and what started as a club of 72 back in 2007 it now a thriving community of over 4000 companies in 70 countries. B Corps include household names such as Ben & Jerry’s, Brewdog, TOMS, Patagonia and food delivery service Gousto.
Kelly is going to talk about her journey to B Corp status and how we should all strive towards B Corp status. Latest research has found that 64% of B Corps are more likely than non- B Corps to survive a recession – and with one around the corner - this model of operating is fast becoming a sustainable and desired option that we should all consider.
Kelly has delivered a Ted Talk and she is a regular speaker at national conferences and universities and a regular guest on BBC radio so we are delighted to welcome her to talk with Digital Lincoln.
As usual, it's going to be an informal event, with food & refreshments provided and there will be plenty of time for friendly conversation with like minded people with an interest in all things digital. This event will take place at Lincoln's Digital Hub, Mosaic so we hope you can join us. Car parking is available on Free School Lane or 2 minutes walk away at Broadgate multi-story car park. Hope you can make it!
