Tom graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2012 with a masters degree in Computer and Information System before joining Streets Heaver as a software developer. After five years of software development he helped found Streets Heaver's automation team 2 years ago and became the lead of that team where they embrace the power of automation to help deliver value to end users.
Tom will talk about writing Automated UI Tests and how UI tests are flaky, slow to run, expensive to maintain and often go wrong and what can be done to avoid those issues. He will go through the journey of implementing UI tests, how they deliver value, reduce release cycle time and what lessons the team learnt along the way.
As well as the talk there will be plenty of time to socialise and catch up with other Digital Lincoln members. This event will take place at Lincoln's new Digital Hub, Mosaic so we hope you can join us to have a look at this great new space with drinks and pizza provided by our kind sponsors.
Car parking is available on Free School Lane or 2 minutes walk away at Broadgate multistory car park.
