WOMEN ARE TAKING OVER!
The goal of the WiT Takeover is to celebrate, promote and encourage women working in (or thinking about working in) the tech industry. This will be a special event for one evening only, so we are taking the opportunity to let the audience control with Lightning Talks!
Everyone is welcome, regardless of gender identity. There will be the usual pizza and drinks provided by our kind sponsor, the Lincoln Science and Innovation Park.
SO WHAT IS A LIGHTNING TALK?
A lightning talk is a short talk on any subject (about 5 mins) - techy or non-techy. We will start the evening with a board and some post-its. Anyone willing to do a talk, stick your idea up on the board and that will be the plan for the evening!
You don't have to be a woman to speak, but we will give preference to women and gender-minorities if there's a surplus of talks.
Slides are allowed, but talk to me first (DM on Slack) so I can get techy things organised in advance and make the evening go more smoothly.
